Meet the Team

My name is Oliver Cheek (he/him). I am a second year Master’s student at the University of Windsor, working with Dr. Ménard. My research interests include improving the health and wellness of sexual and gender minorities, with a specific interest in transgender populations. My past research experience involved completing an honours thesis in my undergraduate degree, which focused on understanding whether individuals categorize gender in faces in a binary or non-binary fashion. Outside of research, I enjoy going on hikes, camping with friends, photography, and advocating for LGBTQ+ rights.

My name is Nick Armstrong and I am an Adult Clinical Psychology Master's student. I have a variety of research interests, including sexual health and wellness in LGBTQ+ groups. My undergraduate thesis focused on the impact of COVID-19 restrictions on transitions to university. Other previous research experience has involved resilience and wellbeing in both LGBTQ+ and non-LGBTQ+ groups.  In my spare time, I partake in various hobbies but my dog gets most of my attention.

My name is Sara Pratt, and I recently completed my fourth year of the Psychology with Honours Thesis program. I am working with Dr. Menard on participant recruitment and data collection for the STRONG project. I intend on pursuing graduate studies to become a clinical psychologist. With this further education I aim to practice therapy with adults who have mental health difficulties. In my free time I write, draw, and play various tabletop and video games.
